Speedy are one of the UK’s most well-known equipment and tool hire providers, with over 300 fixed sites all over the country.
Many of Speedy’s staff were based at remote depots, so consistent internal communications were sometimes difficult to manage. What they needed was a medium that would reach all staff worldwide. So we set about creating a platform to keep all 3,500 Speedy employees informed on internal and external news, latest products, safety advice and more.
We designed and produced a bespoke online TV Station accessible to all staff via a unique, secure log in. The station has a number of channels, each containing a number of short films covering all elements of the business. It’s updated on a regular basis with news as it happens.
The station has had a very positive effect, with staff feeling more engaged with the bigger picture and what’s happening at head office.
The station was launched in September 2011 and the Internal Marketing Team won a prestigious Company Award ‘Team of the Year’ for ‘Improving Employee Engagement’ from 61% to 82% in the twelve months. Speedy TV strongly contributed to this.
Since its launch the station has hosted over 70 films from CEO’s Question Time to health and safety films. We continue to provide ongoing support, as well as producing regular film content.
